Day 1 Wednesday 19th AprilWelcome to IstanbulWelcome to Istanbul, where you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in the heart of the old city. Day 2 Thursday 20th AprilIstanbul old city, twilight cruiseAfter breakfast, you enjoy a fully guided tour of the only city to span two continents, visiting the Blue Mosque, the Aya Sofya, Topkapi Palace, the Underground Cistern and the Hippodrome. Tonight, an evening you won't forget on the moonlight cruise along the mighty Bosphorus, drinks for sale onboard. Overnight Istanbul. Breakfast. Day 3 Friday 21st AprilBursa, Silk bazaarToday you head south to the former capital of the rising Ottoman Empire, Bursa. See the Ulu Mosque (Grand Mosque) and the authentic Silk bazaar. Overnight Kusadasi. Breakfast and dinner. Day 4 Saturday 22nd AprilKusadasi, EphesusEphesus is one of the best preserved ancient Roman cities in Turkey. Feel the mystical atmosphere of the city halls and stadium where chariot and horse races were once held, as you tour the ancient city. Turkey produces some of the finest leather goods in the world and after Ephesus we go to a leather goods display. We also visit a Turkish carpet village and learn how carpets are made by hand and what determines their value. Tonight, don't miss the optional Turkish folklore evening featuring folklore and belly dancers… a night you won't forget! Overnight Kusadasi. Breakfast. Day 5 Sunday 23rd AprilAcropolis of PergamumHeading north towards the Gallipoli battlefields, we stop and enjoy a fully guided tour of the acropolis of Pergamum, capital of the ancient Pergamum Kingdom. Overnight Kucukkuyu. Breakfast and dinner. Day 6 Monday 24th AprilTroy, Gallipoli battlefields tourEarly morning tour of Troy, the site of the famed Trojan Horse. After Troy, we tour the WWI battlefields of Gallipoli. Visit Lone Pine Australian Memorial and Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial, ANZAC Cove, Johnston's Jolly and the Kaba Tepe Gallipoli Museum. Straight after the tour we head for the site of the dawn service to get a good spot. Tonight, soak up the vibrant atmosphere under the stars waiting for the break of dawn. Overnight at Dawn Service. Breakfast and dinner box. Day 7 Tuesday 25th AprilANZAC Day at GallipoliAwake before sunrise to the ANZAC Dawn Service and commemorate our fallen forefathers on this special day. Also attend the Australian &/or New Zealand Memorial services at Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair. After the services, we drive back to Istanbul with powerful memories of commemorating ANZAC Day at Gallipoli. Overnight Istanbul. Breakfast/lunch box.
